Countering Violent Extremism and Trauma Healing

Strengthening community resilience against violent extremism and supporting people affected by conflict to heal.

The borderlands have experienced terror attacks and recruitment by armed groups. Young people without opportunities are especially vulnerable, and many community members carry the trauma of past violence.

What we do

  • Community capacity building on early warning and prevention
  • Strengthening linkages between communities and local authorities
  • Youth engagement through dialogue, sport and livelihoods
  • Trauma healing and psychosocial support

Peace is more than the absence of violence. By healing wounds and building trust, communities become stronger than the forces that try to divide them.
