Gender-based violence — from physical harm and rape to psychological abuse — remains widespread and largely unreported for fear of stigma. Some pastoral communities also continue to practise female genital mutilation as a tradition.
What we do
- Capacity building and awareness on the dangers of GBV and FGM
- Dialogues with elders, religious leaders, mothers and young men
- Advocacy campaigns in schools and markets
- Working towards a hotline where survivors can report safely
Change happens when communities lead it. By creating space for honest conversation, we help families protect their daughters while honouring the positive parts of their culture.
